I say we go over as an angry mob and demand he release the truck. The Occupy Rover movement start now!

Several folks PM'ed me for info on this D-90 so I asked the owner if it was okay if I posted the pictures I took of it on Sept 10 this year. He said sure thing:

The trajedy of time

It appears that almost every part of that truck will need some attention. It may not be past saving but I see a lot of work in its future.

There is the bonus of it coming with a full ash tray of 4 year old ciggy buts (yummy).

The more we pester this guy the more he is going to think he does have the golden ticket and the price will never reach an honest reality.

<Galpin will buy it soon enough... he is almost done with the white one >

if it has been sitting for such long period, at least it sits on solid ground and not just plain dirt on a back yard.

From the pics it doesn't look any different from most other trucks for sale, aside from the paint and the bad tire.

I think we should invite the owner to HH!

That paint will shine right up; the Portofino reds and the Arles blues have a bad rep for fading, but they come right back.

Look closer Ed. The cage is messed up. All the plastic parts look messed up. It's rusting everywhere. That's a basket case at best.

Well, you know, I *did* drive 4 hours down and back up in a day to Rob Davis's place to look at a very nasty, tattered UK RHD with a super-dodgy engine and worse interior and rust than that truck. IIRC that was selling for ~$8k.

Rust in the typical Defender places, right? Probably with some time and money the truck could look very good!

Bulkhead corners look good, the footwell can be cut and welded, the frame can be replaced with a new one...I guess the SD Cage foam pieces are NLA, but that's a curse all ST guys suffer...

The guy really needs to stop using the interior as a storage unit though, and a new tire wouldn't hurt.

There are various scenarios none of them good. It looks like the guy does not need the money nor cares a whole lot about the Rover. His price will be whatever is in his head on any given day. The more he gets aks if he wants to sell it will probably jack up the price in his mind. Very hard to deal with anyone like that.
