low mileage 2004 SL55 AMG 493hp for sale

Pretty much the opposite of a Defender but thought I would give you guys a shot before I market it elsewhere. 2004 Mercedes SL55 AMG with 21,860 miles. Black exterior with charcoal interior in near perfect condition. 493 hp supercharged engine that will keep up with just about anything you encounter on the road but able to be serviced at your local Mercedes dealer. Original sticker just shy of $130K and luckily I did not experience the full depreciation. Located in York, Maine one hour north of Boston.

Asking $39,000.

I'm not really a Benz person, but that is a darn purdy motor.

AMG builds the hell out of a motor.

low miles. lot of car (motor) for that money.
My neighbor has that same engine in a G55 and the growl heard from that exhaust while under acceleration is pretty aggressive. I can only imagine how quickly it moves an SL compared to a G-wagen.

I'll pass this along

I used to promise even the most tenured fast car people that a ride in the e55 would scare them, they didn't believe me till I kept the foot down after third gear. One of the most linear power bands in a factory car and hand built motors too...

It would be a sacrifice but I could RURR this for someone. Ya know, with the nice weather coming. Would a winch fit in the trunk? Maybe a slow drive down to GA? Is there a trunk on this thing?

Looks gorgeous.

GLWS Gary!

Really? Even a Dart with a 440?

That's about all that would fit in the trunk - one winch.

Absolutely. E55 does a mid 12 1/4 mile dead stock which is pretty impressive for a heavy luxury sedan.
