Can one of these be updated to a regular 5 door hardtop? It seems like these are in much better condition than the civilian counterparts.

What would be involved (parts wise). Pardon my ignorance, but it almost seems like you would need a whole new tub for a 5 door 110, 5 new doors, then the corresponding hard top...

I know the MOD Landy's are more rugged, but do they have coil overs or leaf springs? How is the ride compared to a civilian defender? Thanks everyone

you would need the tub, the "t" posts, the under body support that the 5 door uses, the roof and roof sides, doors, and seats. The chassis and suspension are the same. Given the cost of the wagon parts it doesn't make much sense to start with a three door instead of simply buying a 5 door in the first place, especially if you are paying someone to do the work. You would be changing everything above the frame from the front seat box back.

Defenders aren't leaf-sprung. Front doors are the same whether it's a 3-door, 2-door 90, etc., so you'd only need the second row doors. Then of course tub, t-posts for the second row doors, etc. It nearly always makes more sense to just buy what you want (condition dependent of course). Like a woman, you don't marry her because you want to change her...

I'm not supposed to change my wife after I marry her? Crap. I was hoping that she would start liking my car addiction after we got married. You mean she's not going to change?
