Lara Craft Clone 110

I know a bunch of us have asked Dale for some pics of the Lara Croft build he's been dropping hints about the past few months, but he never posted much on it here. Looks like it's now for sale on eBay if anyone wants a clone.

Land Rover Defender Hcpu | eBay

1900 Land Rover Defender HCPU
'83 HCPU Lara Croft clone, 61k orig miles!! 3.5/AUTO LHD no rust RESTORED ORIG
Tomb Raider orig frame matching VIN- 100% legal import

h1real4x4 (319 )

Starting bid: US $39,950.00 [0 bids]

Item Location: Marshville, NC

VIN: SALLDHHG7AA194256

Mileage: 61,000

Trim: Tomb Raider Clone

Seller's Notes: “Truck disassembled for paint, frame sandblasted, fresh correct Bonnatti Gray paint- beautiful truck!! And all original matching frame and VIN for total peace of mind!!”

Description:

Bought this truck in it's original 2.5 NAD/LT77?RHD configuration, just for this project. Completely disassembled the vehicle, had the chassis sand blasted and acid etched primed. Body panels all painted individually, new doors with original interior/handles. Color is correct Bonatti Gray as per the original truck built by Land Rover for the movie- in fact 3 originals were built by Land Rover. One was wrecked making the movie, the second is in private collection, and the third is in Land Rover's museum in Dunsfold. No expense was spared, and in fact this example is built much better than the movie vehicles. Exocage tied to frame correctly for example, as are the rock sliders. Custom RTE front bumper/grille guard.
The truck is being finished up completing odds and ends, and still needs to visit the paint shop for final touch up (all included in the sales price of course). Also, any options or upgrades can be employed at extra cost should you desire.
She has turned out to be quite a beast of a truck!! Automatic transmission turning large Michelin tires- go anywhere attitude!! Conversely, she can be quite functional as she has a full HI Cap bed- and an open air driving experience to boot!! Feel free to inquire should you have any questions, and feel free to see previously sold vehicles by visiting theRVRbarn!!

Prebid inspections are welcome, and encouraged!! Also, bidders with less than 5 transactions or less than 100% Feedback need to contact seller prior to bidding to prevent bids from being cancelled.

NOTE: I have clear unencumbered NC title in hand, as well as original owners manual, and all import paperwork!! The last picture is of the original vehicle made by Land Rover.

Exact same setup you have seen in Trey's 110. Kit is made by forum member Nick M the same guy making the LS engine conversion kits.

Thanks for all the kind words- been traveling all day. Hope to update website in a day or two. And the truck does look better in person, but has a few odds and ends to finish up, no biggies. Grab it now, and we can add most anything you like.
Cheers, and thanks again all!!

Not a traditional setup, but one can be made to fit. We discovered early on the LC cage is a bit lower, and flatter than typical cages. But there is always a way, and it can be made to be at least as weather tight as factory ;-)

Oh, and the hardtop- no deal...
