That one doesn't look nearly as nice as some of the other Japanese Spec trucks that have been popping up here, either. They usually don't have random add-ons, worn out seats and faded headlight surrounds.

Listing looks to be from Sept '11, not sure if still available but price is certainly good even if you have to ship it (though no idea of cost from Japan).

Regular steering wheel, air bag option must have been a mistake. Just because they sell cars doesn't mean they know anything about them.

So did they only sell the Defender in Japan in 97? I've yet to see any manual, Jap spec defenders, with the power windows and what not.

I think they just cleared out the surplus stock that they couldn't bring into the US by sending them to Japan ... Given that Japan is RHD like the UK, I can't imagine these were particularly popular ...
