Well, I told him I apologize if I offended him and told him I'm just trying to be helpful. It's a shame though if people spend this much money on a vehicle without knowing all the facts. If there are important things to be disclosed then I think they should be.

Incredible. So if I ran the carfax he'd probably tell me carfax is wrong lol.
The odometer *may* be accurate but if it is in MPH, then it has indeed been changed and I wouldn't just blindly trust the first record recorded in the US on Carfax. I would, however, trust (although not completely) a certified speedo replacement letter from the dealer if/when it was completed upon arriving in the US. Ask him to provide that.

Also, we'll all recall that the eBay seller gpc566 is GPC akd Grand Prix Cafe out of Southampton and also had this for sale. They're usually a consignment dealer and have no idea what they actually have, just how much they want.

Anyone know if those wheels are available stateside? I found the website these supposedly came from below...they don't show this wheel. I'd trade a nice set of boosts for a set of these!

Ha, nah I really don't do modern wheels, but those look really good with the Arles, but not that good for 1,700.

Routed to a Tdi fender would be cleaner, if you didn't mind swapping out the original of course.

Good for you! Funny how the first thing a dishonest person says when cornered is, 'Prove it!'

Okay, you're right. Thanks. It does sound like it's being sold consignment. He told me the owner claims it isn't Japanese. He said he has the NY title, but he talked to the owner and apparently he has no other supporting documents. Well that's as far as I'm going with it. Hopefully whoever buys it does their research and knows what they're getting themselves into.

I think I saw this truck at LR Mt Kisco not that long ago. Although it had a Copley license plate frame if it is the same one.

If that's the area this lives in and anyone wants me to go take a look, let me know
