He lists a lot of replaced components. I wonder if he replaced them after buying from Riverhouse? If that is the case then very disappointing quality of work during the "rebuild"
Which would be surprising.

Yeah I'd have to think he's just listing things mike did to it. When it was advertised it was a turn key rover. Never seen one of mikes in person but they sure look nice on this forum!

I have bought a Rover from Mike, condition was excellent...if anything it was even better then expected. I have do not doubts about mikes work at all. Also is prices are pretty fair for what he sells.

I talked to him (the seller) and he said that was a list of what was done during the restoration done by the "UK" seller.

When you say you "spoke" to him, was that overthe phone, or via his Gmail account?

CL has tons of scams and they ALL use Gmail addresses. Not saying that this is a scam, but the fact that seller listst the contact as a Gmail address and states he's "meticulous about the truck's maintenance" when it is either not arrived yet, or has been in seller possession a very short amount of time are two very big red flags.

Then as Doug points out, anyone who purchased a truck from Riverhouse knows he's in Netherlands.

Too many red flags for me.

Nice 90 though (wherever it is and whomever owns it)

I spoke to him on the phone, but yeah I agree on a few of your points. It's quite misleading that's he's been "meticulous" in the maintenance when clearly he hasn't had it long. But maybe he was good for his 3 months he's owned it.

To me he just sounded like a guy who bought a truck and is having some remorse for doing so.. now trying to make a buck on the deal. I just called because it was a locally listed defender and I'd have a chance to see a rivermike rebuild in person. I knew right away where the truck was from by his CL photos. They look so great on here I wanted to see one in the "flesh" so to speak.

Note - I do not have anything to do with this truck, just happened to see an ad as well so I chimed in.
