Hoping this is a forum member's truck?

Land Rover Defender 110 4 C SW P | eBay

Did a Vin search here, and looked around before posting...

At any rate, I'll be keeping an eye on the auction.

RHD that shows as a LHD in the auction title? Sketchy. 4 cylinder gas for your 8-cylinder LS conversion? Could be dicey in the registerability/re-registerability dept.

I'd say meh, even if it goes cheap. Contact Johan & get in line for one of his endless series of serviceable, moderately priced v8 LHD's...

Depends on the level of "cheap"... but you're probably right. Frankly I think I want a 3 door 110... fewer doors to rust!

Looks nice from 15 feet away. Up close, looks like a rust bucket with holes in the foot wells, rear cross member, door bottoms, and those are just the areas with details. Interior looks rough with cut wires in a few photos. For $2k, I would not buy it.

There aren't many 110's I wouldn't buy for $2k if I had the space!
Speaking of which, dying to find some shop space...

Ok, I guess I should say that for parts, like the nice galvanized cappings, wings, bonnet, sure would be a decent junk yard find at $2k. As a vehicle to fix up for regular use or restore, no way.

Looks like the frame has had several repairs and rear cross member shot. Door bottoms shot. no pictures of bulkhead other than rusting floors. No picture of engine bay. It would be a good start for a project build or a trail truck. Final price should reflect condition, 10k ball park?

Classic tired and rusted vehicle. Could be pretty easy to drop $30k into it.
