Is someone here putting in offers on the D90SW @ Darlings Auto - Maine? Step off! :)

There is a D90 SW in Maine for sale at Darlings Auto Mall - Ellsworth and they supposedly have an offer higher than mine...... Who is it?! Step off the truck is MINE! Ha ha ha :D

Looks like it is going to go for more than I thought she was worth so have at it I guess. She's a 1995 White SW that need little stuff but is overall very solid and pretty rust free. Newer doors on her and the frame is very good. Some minor rust on the drivers footwell bulkhead - but very minor. Corrosion on the seat base floor sill area but again it's slight compared to most and certain VERY good for a New England truck.

Needs a tune up badly, the AC is there but unhooked and she has a few leaks and bald tires. Overall a good truck that looks to have never been off the highway. 102K i think and clean title. Asking $22k but they offered it to me wholesale dealer to dealer @$18K - my offer was a bit lower and they are stalling.
She is #166/500 for those who care.

Doug, nice to see you back. You're always going to get outbid if you always lowball. $18k is definitely a fair price; they shouldn't have to give it away! The things you list are "normal" ... perhaps even better than normal, and similar are going in the $22-24k range.

Thanks Horsey - been here lurking.

I agree that 18k is decent but honestly I don't need it and have a hybrid over half built but still in parts at the shop. So buying this one really would be a toy to play with and then flip it for a little $$. So looking at it that way I couldn't have 18k in it and then bring it up to snuff *correctly* and turn at least a little bit of profit.

They sent me pictures. That bulkhead rust ain't minor.
I passed on it, with the miles and the needs on that truck there is no money to be made there.

Mike - I agree, I took another look today in daylight and there is a nice actual hole I didn't see at night. Ouch.

The pass side has some bubbles starting on the bottom edge - she needs work. Excellent driver but I'd rather pay $25k + for one that's a bit more solid. Or finish *building* mine with ZERO rust hiding anywhere.

Orly Jeff?!

Will I see it at the next DELRC meet?

And yeah Horsey you will see it some day. I enjoy building and playing with stuff, it will happen but life is busy and I am not in that much hurry to please you and anyone else with "proof". LOL.

I have had this damned Discovery for like 6-7 months now - its like a new record for me. Ha Ha!

The motor for the Audi is still not fully in and I keep having thoughts of tossing it in a Rover. life is fun.

No worries Carey..... You still have the title to my Discovery anyway - what are friends for right?

I made an offer for what I felt it worth, not silly or unreasonable. They had other interested parties, cool! Someone will have a decent truck and I wish them well. It's just a truck!
