1970 Land Rover Series 2a 88 - $7750 (Fountain Hills)

1970 Land Rover series 2a 88 inch wheelbase. 55,000 original miles, garage find. Last plated in 1974.British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate included which shows date of build, first recorded owner, matching chassis and engine numbers color, etc.
Runs good, my plan was to keep the patina on its near perfect aluminum body, and make a nice driver out of it. never hit, whats left of original paint, no rust frame sun baked interior. Brakes have been 100% gone thru with new shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, rubber lines, new clutch and master clutch and slave cylinders and lines, trans rebuilt, trans broke in 74 and parked until I bought it a few years ago. $1000. in new trans parts during rebuild. Runs and drives ok. A/C has not been checked out but new idler pulleys and belt. All new cooling hoses and water pump. New battery, new carb and fuel lines. Needs small amount of finishing such as headlamp wiring and battery light is on when running.
Thanks, please reply to ad for more info or to see it. Available most anytime in Fountain Hills"
END OF AD

Says it was only used for 2 years then i guess it sat for the plate 39 years, pretty cool cause its in AZ so its basically preserved in the desert, hurt only by sunlight, heat and sand.
Also appears to have AC!

Love the way they bent the gear stick to accommodate the AC unit

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.
