Heads up! Check this out

I know it is on the UK ebay site but I thought I'd share it anyway. I happen to know the seller through business dealings and have viewed the truck personally. This is truly in A1 condition and every bit as good as the write up; and not any rust either.
Having already set my heart on another 90 elsewhere I won't be bidding on this one but felt that it warranted bringing to your attention in case someone was cash ready and felt the urge.
I would be happy to assist with being the man on the ground who would guarantee its provenance. ( and Jackie Treehorn I'm sure will verify that I am on the level ) My services are free, I just feel it would be wasted on a UK buyer who would just run it into the ground.
Hope this link works, if not, let me know.

you weren't kidding, that looks tidy from those pictures.

Also, let's skip the part where this turns into a shitstorm of haters ragging on UK trucks and how the seller is "acting as a proxy scam". I'll vouch for Spanner110 and he's got no skin in this game other than just alerting the D-90 guys about something of interest.

That said, you know everyone is going to want "money shots" of the bulkhead, frame rails etc. so the seller should really post those instead of the beauty shots of the nice paint.

This truck will probably end up at The County & Defender Centre or MRM marked up 100%.

Making me break out in a rash just thinking of those muppets getting hold of it

Just to add new colour to this.
I have a free day tomorrow so I shall make the journey North to re-visit this truck and take the pics of the bulkhead and rails for you, then I'll post them up here.
I know I have way too much free time and need to get more hobbies, but my weakness is that I like helping folk.

Whatever!, that's just an excuse for you to stop at The Three Tuns whilst the wife thinks you're out gathering parts to fix her 90

You're kidding right, she's coming with me....she's doing the driving back when I'm over the DD limit
And I've a good mind to paint my prospective purchase green, swap the plates over and tell her that her90 is all rebuilt. That'd keep her quiet and save me a heap of work

I did, but on the way home I had to detour to my daughters place to sort out an issue which presented itself in the early hours this morning.
I do resent getting up by drunken idiot friends of hers who think its a laugh to steal her phone and then annoy everyone on the contact list.
I'll upload the Landy pics when I surface in the next 8 hours. Apologies for the delay guys.

Spanner,

Sorry for your troubles. I have 2 girls and can only imagine what my future will be like. We appreciate your efforts. Although I am not in the market for a new Landy, I can't wait to see the pictures

Here you go lads.

Hope this all looks good. In addition, when I mooched round it yesterday, I noticed that the edges of the seat box (underneath) did have some rust on it and would need fettling. Also there is some rust on the bulkhead panel between it and the outer wing (drivers side) to be fair I think that is all there was, and I couldn't see any on the bottom edge or inside quarters.
But the rest of it is structurally sound. Oh and the rear cross member has been replaced too.
Enjoy, and I hope one of you lot do buy it.

Pretty scabby, looks like you would be chasing the rust on the chassis.

Yeah, but that's "solid" if you're in the UK!

I was thinking the same when I looked at those pics. Still, as long as the price is right (pre County & Defender Centre and pre GMR markups) you've got yourself a pretty original ROW 90 at a decent entry-level price. As long as you're all-in at your doorstep stateside for under $10k.......

Well they didn't do themselves any favours with the waxoil coating. However the rust I saw was very minimal surface type and I have seen areas that the jet wash never reached, so I suspect that the waxoil went straight over it, dirt and all (not really an excuse) the chassis is solid though because my hammer was over the whole thing just so I could make such a statement with a clear conscience.
The bulkhead rust looked to be contained along the seam only, my fingers could feel good paint beyond that.

Staying pretty cheap unless there is a snipe/bump at the end. this is low enough it's almost worth the gamble.

Only 30 minutes or so to go.

USD $6,261 for the rest of us lazy Yanks!
actually, you would not get the spot rate of 1.57 as retail customer, more like 1.6, so say $6,380
plus budget $2,500 for shipping/duty/customs (Doug could be more precise I'm sure) and even aother $800 if you're hiring a transporter to deliver it to your door and you're still all-in under $10,000.

Drive it for a year or two and then sink some money into a TDi repower and frame swap.
Cool way to go.

Just by way of an update.
Made a phone call today to the former owner, it turns out that the lucky buyer is Dutch and is planning on driving it back to Holland rather him than me.
At least it'll be in the hands of an enthusiast and not some UK knuckle dragger who would likely butcher it up into a comp-trialling truck.
