I've sent the op a few emails and have never heard back. If it is a ranch truck in northern New Mexico, I'm not too surprised at the delay. If I hear back I'll let y'all know.

If it was legit (and he found the title) I'm surprised it lasted even 4 days.

if he never registered it, the title is probably not in his name either....would have issues at DMV

This has to be the first instance where someone took an older truck, and registered it as a newer model . What is this, some sort of reverse-CBP strategy?

Just to be "that guy" --

Series III and Stage One trucks were produced at the same time.

All Stage Ones were the 3.5 V8.

Calvin says that this truck was supposed to come with a Diesel engine (series 3) and an LT95 (Stage One). So those two things do not equal.

The photo of the interior shows that it has a standard Series III gearbox / hand brake configuration - not an LT95.

The grill treatment is not Stage One - it is defender - but that is one of the easiest modifications to make. The defender one piece doors are another "easy" modification.

So I am left confused as to what this bitsa truck actually started out life as.

Regardless, I thought it looked pretty nice.

For $3200, regardless of what it is (SIII, StageOne, etc) is a heck of a deal for sweet hicap. Even I'd have been tempted to pull a Pedro.

The mirror tag in the interior shot says 16,488. No idea if that was from an old pic when it was for sale for that price, or if that was an odometer reading when it had work done.

Just becasue I can not let it go...

My Stage One VIN starts the same as this truck's

My Truck: SALLBCAV1AA123320
This Truck: SALLBCAG1AA162876

But for the second group of numbers "LB" mine definitely just says Model: STAGE ONE while this HCPU says Model: Series III (for early models: Stage One)

I think this was just a bog standard Series III 109 2.25 Diesel that someone slapped DEF110 parts on.

I am like Nathin - I could have done a PEDRO on that... Dood!!!!

that location looks curiously familiar (is that Rivermike's?) I don't have time to check, but it looks familiar which would mean that in fact that the photos were poached and this is a scam.

Not rivermike's but maybe someone from that area of NM can tell if the environment looks like the weather they get. I know when I see random photos of NY, NJ, and New England I can usually tell by the trees in the background where it's from.

looks just like northern new mexico. Style of home is just like mine and weather, well it is new mexico so if you don't like it, just wait five minutes. I was thinking it kinda looked familiar as well. The G in the pic makes me think it might have been an old Europa motors picture?

The license plate on the silver car looks yellow, which is the right color for some NM plates.
