I ended up buying a Coal Burning Vermont Castings Stove for my old house. My father-inlaw also bought a VC wood stove. The shipping was stupid cheap via Fastenal.

I look forward to seeing it in operation, not looking forward to loading it into the house (450 lbs)....

FWIW Newman just hooked me up with a pellet stove. Highly recommend patronizing his business if you are in the market. He is a wood, pellet, coal stove shipping guru so location shouldn't matter.

Thanks for the good words guys. We have been going 16 hours a day, 7 days a week doing installs as of late. Seems no one wants to be cold.....imagine that.
Yup...the web site sucks. Its on my list of crap to get done. Might get around to it in the spring......right after the 200 tdi transplant into the 110.....
Here to help if I can.......

Tom.....I know you have been busting a** on that install and all the changes it has thrown at you, along with some of the interesting "discoveries". Looks great so far. I am looking fwd to stopping by and checking it out in person.

Wow - talk about great customer service!!!

Rick did a wonderful job - this thing rocks! Recommend both the pellet stove - and of course the installer/salesman!

Thanks amigo.

Not sure of the size of the home, but the stove was a Quadra Fire Classic Bay 1200i.

small home...dunno how big? 4bed 3bath? I'm gonna guess 2500sqf

Basement, main level and upstairs - all get somewhat heated. Obviously to make it toasty on all 3 levels requires some jiggering with the current gas fired setup. Mainly moving the thermostat out of the same room as the stove!! Dunno why the idiots who built the house put it where they did - other than convenience.
