The truck is currently having the original carbureted 3.5l V8 lt85 combo replaced with a fuel injected 4.0l V8 ZF auto. Conversion's about halfway finished.

Hmmm....the pic he posted is of F98 DKN, which is one of the triplets to mine (F96 DKN). But I'm guessing it's a generic pic since (to my knowledge) F98 is still currently owned as a fleet vehicle by 1stdefensefire.co.uk, and F97 DKN is in fact owned by their "opposition" Bells & Two Tones near Southampton. Both F98 & F97 were in near restored or restored condition last I spoke with these outfits.

Says Severn Rescue on the box. I pulled the F98 picture off of google. Have I ruined a piece of history by having an HCPU rear body installed?

Negative...made it more usable. I can't imagine trying to navigate here in the States with that big arse utility box on the back...these things have enough blind spots with even a hicap bed & canvas on.

Sorry about this confusing feeler thread. Let's make it a for sale thread.

This is the truck I need to let go of. It's to much of a project for my transient lifestyle and I bought one that runs and drives(Thank you Foley's!).

The price I've settled on is $27,500.00

Located in South Boston. Title in hand from North Carolina.

What I know it needs to run... exhaust(there is a y-pipe but, not sure it's the right part), fuel lines and filter, fuel pump(tank may need modification), radiator(included) mounted and hoses hooked up, engine crossmember, tranny cooler and lines, shifter, new tunnel, battery...and misc parts. There's minor welding that needs to be finished up on the engine mounts(trying to get to this this weekend). We're installing most of the wiring harness(included, Thanks Drew!) this weekend. Parts not included unless it says included.

Engine/tranny/t-case are reportedly in excellent condition but, have not been used in several years. They were reportedly put away correctly and the engine was reportedly turned over by drill regularly without the plugs in. The drive train was reportedly removed from a Japanese spec Defender that was converted to a 300tdi.

This truck was on the road with a 200tdi in it when I bought it over a year ago so, I'm assuming the brakes, axles, diffs, wheel bearings...etc are in working order.

Truck cleared customs because we pulled the 200tdi and installed an original non running 3.5 v8 before it was exported non running(Thanks Trevor!). Cleared customs without any problems. (Thanks Doug!).

Please email me your questions.

Thank you!
