ECR 110 for sale

I often stop by this place to see some of the vehicles they have. I took a look at their site today and they have this;
http://classiccargallery.com/details.php?id=431&g=1

So, I called to see what the asking price is....$85k. I also wanted to confirm that it is an ECR upgraded vehicle, and they said "yes". I am going to stop down and take a look.

I am fairly certain it is this truck;

That a good price considering it's pretty much brand new, and low miles too.

If that truck is #48 it had 19K miles when we saw it last in the winter of 2005.
We have not seen that 110 since.

I would not call that truck brand new at all. It was a good low miles truck that we did some things to, but we certainly did not restore it and it still had a number of things that needed doing when we saw it 6 years ago. We did what the customer wanted, but not everything it needed.

If anyone is interested in the truck (if it is #48) I will gladly send you the work lists and evaluation, but I'm not sure what weight it carries considering it was a long time ago.

Thanks

Looks like it was pretty rusty even back in 05.

Mike is the truck linked to your site #362 or #48?

48 was the customer #.
I'm not sure of the NAS # of the truck (we didn't keep track of those back then). It does appear to be the same truck but I can not confirm as it looks like they have a type-o in their VIN in the add. 99% sure it is the same truck.

It looks like it has had a rear crossmember installed (we didn't do that) so be sure to check for rust if looking at this truck. My notes said it was getting really rusty back in 2005 (see below).

Here is what our evaluation listed after we completed the truck. This is what still needed to be done back in 2005:

Customer # 48 19,728 miles showing
NAS Defender 110 SALDH1280PA921019

The following were found to be out of spec. on the Rover. A costemtic evaluation was not done as this is not a new purchase.
-Antenna damaged
-Defender decal missing from grill
-Grill damaged (UV baked)
-Headliners sagging
-All doors have minor dents and have through corrosion. Some have significant rust
-Under hood frame showing rust
-Rust blisters on bulkhead
-Paint faded (UV baked)
-Rear body tub cap rails rusting and blistering
-Vehicle has been repainted a couple of times at least
-Rear crossmember starting to rust significantly
-Frame has through rust that has been patched
-Headlight buckets starting to rust out
-Bulkhead to fender inner mounts rusted out
-Driver’s seat belt clip cracked
-Body line up not 100%, body needs to be lined up better for doors to fit better
-Cigar lighter missing
-Aftermarket radio
-”Unleaded fuel” decal missing

Overview: A good 110 that suffers from the beginnings of bad rust, just starting to get its grip

See the main ECR page:

"We are now working on a new and updated web site, so some links may not work while we blend the old with the new. We will have the new improved site up and running as soon as possible."

Probably not that. The whole 110 projects page works, except for that one.

My guess is the truck needs a lot of work, the seller is trying to exploit the ecr connection so mike shut it down.
