eBay 1993 D110

I don't know if there is any interest, but it seems like a decent price and a trailer as a bonus. (not mine)

Asked a couple questions. One major concern was he said there was some hail damage to the truck a few months ago and the pics are from before that.

I think that truck was owned by a guy named Kermit..from Kansas I think. He sold it about two/ three years ago. A few of the guys on the board know this truck. Had a lot of miles on it.... It took a while for it to sell last time..but that was then and this is now....

Definately Kermit's truck. He put it up for sale several times over the last few years, but just sold it probabably between 1-2 years back. Pics are from Kermit's driveway.

x2. Took forever for it to sell the last time. Yeah, I think it was less than 2 years ago it finally sold. One of the first conversions. Search around (I think Kermit comes up in each discussion) a bit on this site if you're interested in the truck, as there's some good info on here about it.

I wouldn't buy from someone who doesn't even put in the description that it has hail damage...or who doesn't even include the photos of the damage.

Also doubt the exact mileage is unknown, or at least so unknown that an estimate isn't even offered. Engine conversion yes but it was a single owner so I'm sure he knew exactly how many miles were on both the engine and chassis when he bought it. Odometer clocked in at 198,000 in 2005.

Is this a NAS? Think it would be retarded to sell my 97 90 for this?

Sam- It is an NAS. I know the truck personally and took it for a week to the National Rally a couple years ago before it sold.

I also know the original owner very well. It is a great very solid truck with lots of great mods to it. It ran perfect out to Colorado and back. So if you are looking for a diesel powered 110 it is a great choice. As for rust I am not totally sure how it is there. I do know that both door seals have been replaced with galvy sections so those are good to go. Has lockers front and rear, SG bumper etc... Love the seats in it, especially the rear seat.

Drive line is solid and strong.

That trailer is very cool and worth a chunk of change on it's own.... would love to have that to tow behind my rig.

Thanks Tyler. I'm going to do some more digging. This might be what I'm looking for, even if I keep my 90.

Jamie.... how much is the trailer worth to you.

------ Follow up post added February 8th, 2012 06:01 PM ------

Funny buyer's remorse; always wanted a SW NAS; but within a few months figured I'd rather have a NAS 110 and ST 90. Never satisfied...

Does Kermit still frequent this board? I'd love to get ahold of him if anyone knows his contact info. And if anyone else has info about this truck, please PM me. Thanks

Sam, if you buy it, you could leave it at my house when you deploy again... :-)

If I were a little more local to you Sam.... that trailer is very, very cool. Unfortunately/ fortunately I am a bit to far away to get myself in trouble :-) Good luck with the sale!

Scott - Like 10% chance this deal go's through, but leaving any Rover with you would probably be my best option! Lets see.... leaving Defenders with my buddies who know 0 about mechanics let alone Rovers or with my wife who would NEVER drive it while I was gone..... Learned that with an 07 Dodge Cummins....

Jamie - I plan on being back in Washington here in a year, year and a half tops. IF this deal went through, I'd be in your neck of the woods.

That said, there is a lot of logistics involved here that I might not have the time for. We'll see.

I'm close by if anyone wants me to run up and look at it if I can arrange a visit.

Also, re: hail damage, my D90 got caught in a hail storm and Land Rover Dallas has a superb paintless dent guy who did a great job. He even took out a couple of door dings and one behind the driver's door post that I thought would be impossible to get to. (and that's probably the only plug I'll ever provide for LR Dallas, btw)
