D90 $15,000

Not mine but looks like a good deal. I feel like I've seen it posted on here before but I can't find it now.

I am looking to sell my 94 Land Rover Defender 90. It is customized and setup to do nicely on road and still handle off roading well. It is on a 2 inch lift 33s and has a warn high speed winch and full undercarraige protection. Many extras. Originally a North Carolina truck so it has not seen northern winters.

was this for sale by rovertrader or one of the NC people at some point? I am pretty sure I remember seeing it on ebay 1-2 years ago. Looks like a non-stock cage as well.. a little too many questions to make it worth diving in for imo.

According to the seller it now has both some wiring problems and a transmission problem. Not sure of the details yet. I too offered him 15k last time and he never responded.

I did have it. Larry at Rover Automotive did the swap, 4.3 to ZF w/ an adaptor from Oz. Truck was always in NC til last year. The buyer had a failure w/ the conversion about 500 miles later. We offered to fix it for free, but he would need to get it to Larry. Never heard from him again?? The 4.3 had 23k on it. Cage non-orig, 200 and 300 Tdi outer wings, canvas ROW top w/ custom cage tied to orig factory at cappings. Feel free to pm for questions. Great suspension- especially RT rear lower links.

I wonder why the buyer had a failure?

If I understand what Dale is saying ... Larry offered to make the problem right and the guy never responded.
I saw this truck when Dale built it ... and it is a killer truck!

Honestly, Larry had just left Shawn and went on his own. I gave him four decent projects- engine/tranny swaps, etc, testing the waters so to speak. We did have some issues as anyone would w/ those type projects, but Larry was responsive and responsible- and has always been helpful. However, we haven't had him do additional projects- partially to do w/ geography.... And by the way, it is a NAS truck. And the lower links are the Johnny Joint/heimmed setup (factory 'ears' removed- done at our shop :-), not just bent lowers. That's it for me on this one, unless specific questions, as Larry has been flogged enough on other threads/sites. Hope this helps.

Guys, didn't your mother teach you that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all?
