I am kind of jealous some of you are close enough to this to see it in person and kind of glad I am so far away from it.....

Hopefully it is not a total money pit and someone from the source grabs it for a decent price!

bagged out - seems like he has a lot of offers around $26K - but by the pictures, and my chats with him it is a $20K truck...IMO

I will be surprised if someone local that sees the truck pays $25k.

With the unknown miles, last documented at 112k, even in top shape it will be $35-40k. You are more than $10k away from top shape on this objective POS, so the margins are tight to in the red at best, even if you do your own work.

No, although I'm tempted to go over with a fuel pump relay and get it running for him. Should really put some time into my own truck though.

I too think this is something that needs to be drivable to be able to decide if it's worth more than $20k. From the pictures I have seen it's a bit rough and will take a fair amount of time and money to bring it up to snuff.

Changing gears for a moment, this 240GD coupe ST looks nice and a good value when compared to some of the ROW 90s coming to these shores.

How about a 66 Series with a 302?
1966 Land Rover - very clean

Quote:
Classic 1966 Land Rover Series IIA. Under the bonnet is a 302 motor harvested from a 68 Mustang (common conversion). 3-speed manual transmission with Warn external overdrive. All original interior and exterior. Correct lenses, gauges, glass. Additional parts (heater assembly, rear folding seat assembly) included. If you're looking for a simple yet fun vehicle with unique vintage appeal this may be just the thing.

Here's the work that was done this year: New battery, water pump, starter, fuel lines, fuel pump and filters; carburetor rebuilt to factory specs. Brakes, tires, and fuel tank still need some attention.

Asking price: $6,500
