Weird! I'm confused by its length. RRS front end (or body panels) on an EJOKE platform?

I don't pay much attention to these models, but the Evoque does say "Range Rover" across the front, so maybe they are just confused about not posting that it is a Range Rover Evoque.

But... the side vent and fog lights are a bit different, aren't they? It does look like the front body panels are directly off a RRS.

The add is likely a stolen pic from a California company that will chop the top off of any vehicle, for a price. The price in the add is $25k less than a standard RRS of the same year and mileage. Not sure why anyone would do this but I would imagine they would be charging more than $45k for it. Link below shows the same RRS as well as a full size rover convertible. Click around to see the other vehicles they have cut up.

Bah! Literally reminds me of those strangerovers that they made out of classics back in the 80's.

Thank you for your interest in purchasing my 1997 Land Rover Defender. The Defender has 131k miles and VIN: SALDV2244VA108730. It has never been involved in any type of accident so the title is clear. It has a 8 cylinder 4.6 liter gasoline engine with automatic transmission and 4WD. (The 4.0L has been quietly replaced with the more powerful Rover 4.6L V8! A massive and sought after upgrade for sure!) I have attached you some pictures of the Defender.

I'm a US Navy Physician and I'm currently assigned at a naval medical center in Greece. I wanted to take the Defender here with me, but I have changed my mind because In order to be able to register the Defender here in Greece, I would have to pay very high import/custom taxes. The Defender is located in Omaha, Nebraska. My final price on it is $28.000.

If you're interested in buying it, let me know so we can make the proper arrangements.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Russell Simons.

Um, if he's Navy he doesn't need to register it in Greece...if there is a Navy medical station in Greece..
OK, guess there is...and they say to bring your POV...http://www.militarybases.us/navy/nsa-souda-bay/
If you scroll down on the description you'll see there is only one physician assigned to this installation.

Same Scam

That guy is listing the same scam all across the US. I received the same email from him and when I asked that he call me or allow me to call him he replied that his work hours make it difficult to call or receive calls and wanted to use the EBay scam.... Where his team calls, pretending to be EBay, to collect money.
Everyone should scam this POS when they see the ad in their area.

I've flagged it multiple times on CL. Nothing changed. Not sure why they even allow flagging if after multiple hits from the same ad they can't figure this shit out. Unless Craigslist is still operating with Packard Bell computers on Windows 95.

I have been flagging this one for a few weeks now. Keeps coming back. The way flagging was explained to me was that multiple people must flag it for it to be taken down. That said, I don't know why CL is not using a reverse image search to determine if the images are original or if they are listed in any other CL ads.

I went a step further. I picked about 8 of his ads from all across the country and reported to Craigslist including the ad numbers but I think there is just so many scams on Craigslist it either takes them a long time to remove and then they can just re-post the next day.
I hate scammers

From the one in NJ:

Since I know that my current situation is pretty unique, I want the deal closed only through eBay in order for both of us to be mutually 100% protected. You will make the payment to eBay and they will hold the money until you receive the Defender. I will only receive the funds after your 5 days inspection period and only if you decide to purchase the Defender. In this way we are both protected.
If you will take it for this price, I am willing to handle the shipping. It will be shipped from there by plane with US Navy Military Cargo so it will not cost me anything. Shipping will be done door-to-door, to your exact location, so you will not have to pick the Defender up yourself. You will receive the Defender in maximum 6-10 days.

Please get back to me asap if you decide to buy, and include your full name, phone number and address where you want it shipped so I can start the deal with eBay. They will call you to explain the procedure.
Thanks,
Russell.
