Probably not an easy decision and likely one that was best for the family.

I thought you tried.

I certainly didn't go through the effort of getting the truck back with the intent to sell three years later. Since I have had it back my situation has changed and I don't drive it nearly enough or have time to take care of some of the smaller items that need addressed. Sometimes practicality wins out over sentimentality.

Would be intersting to know how many Homemarket and other ROW Land Rover Defender style vehicles there are in the States now, would think that the numbers could reach or pass the ROW NA spec numbers?

Ironically, the new owner of this 94 is the same guy that beat me to a local 93 RRC Sport Edition a few years ago that was posted for $700 and all it needed was a battery (come to find out it is very rusty). I think we must share the same hobby of scouring craigslist daily.
This 94 is supposedly 99% rust free and still on air coils, he scored it for $1050.

Craigslist Dallas

I know that this lime green thing was posted here a while back but now it has found its way to craigslist. As was previously stated, it would take some coin to unbastardize it. If memory serves, they were asking close to $50K when it was first posted but as of now, their website has it posted for $40K (no price listed on CL).

At least the ad has all the relevant bases covered, including that it is an SUV and graciously providing the often-telling shot of 10% of the interior through the (mostly lowered) driver side window.

I bet the door jambs are even painted pink. Mary Kay would expect nothing less.
