The auto trans is using the old manual shifter for gear selection. Your point about the lockers is valid, most mall cruisers like mine don't go that far for the look.

There was s 94/95 for sale here in Atlanta a couple years ago that had an auto conversion done by a land rover dealership in CA. The only tell was the engravings on the shifter. PRND321 instead of the gear diogram.

keywords to offend the rover guys like if you aussie locker jockeys come up from the bush long enough to breath air you'll buy a Jeep mark doesnt have a rover not even geoff our newest member has a land yatch with airleakers detroits are way better but they don't cost enough so you RTT that's roof top tent loving shrimp eating outback fridge freezer kaki wearing nine pockets in your shorts and a dozen more in your shirt pansies that use gloves to pull a winch line out so you dont break a fingernail and have to curse with that accent of yours 'oh blyme i got me knickers in bunch on that one' skinny tire overlanding sit under a canopy drinking tea wheelers that go anywhere the jeeps go can fight over these.

Oh, yes. No truer words. But since Jap-spec badge #403 is US registered, for sale, and being roasted here:

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...les-70389.html

I figured sequentially it should be good to go. But I could be wrong ;-)

This one can't be brought in legally right? I know the import rules well, but get confused because I see Japanese Spec trucks for sale in the states...

I also read that NAS = JDM = UAE?

If I can get that blue truck in the country legally for $30k, ill fly out to get it tomorrow.
