Okay, being the newbie here, will the SD rack fit a roof with no ribs and a sunroof?

Why won't it work with a ribbed roof? Didn't Jim just put one on a new ribbed roof?

looks smooth to me. I think the ribbed ones are too high by a little bit.

Here was the conversion ECR had done to aosis's truck.

Tall ribbed roofs are easy to spot. They look like this (image).
The ribs stick up too much for the SD external cage to be installed.

Also, the early 110s with the stepped area near the rear and storage lockers in the rear tub (image) require custom fabrication for the rear-most cage legs.

The SD external cage was designed in 1992 and it fits 1992-2007 110s without issue. On the earlier 110s (1980s) there can be issues to deal with, but all can be over-come.

Smooth roofs can be had for pretty cheap though and roofs are easy and cheap to change (other than paint costs).

Sunroofs are no issue as long as they were installed in the factory location (or close to it).

The roof on this 110 is smooth; not ribbed. I have seen it in person.
