Coconut Charcoal

I just placed another order for coconut coal. Unfortunately, the only efficient way to order is is to buy a pallet, which is way more than I need. I have 1,600lbs coming (80 boxes). My cost will be $26-27 per 24lbs box.

I should have it in a few weeks. If you haven't cooked on coconut coal you should defiantly try it out. Burns hotter and lasts a lot longer, perfect for searing as well as low and slow smoking. I can do 18 hours smokes in my ceramic cooker and never have to replace the coal. It also doesn't have much of a smoke profile so you can better target the smoke flavor from whatever wood you're using.

I'd like to keep 30 boxes for myself. Benefit from my quantity purchase with no mark up.

Pick up in Arlington, VA where we're known for our BBQ .

The coal is in! Sorry they are 20lbs, not 24lbs, boxes.

Here is a review from the Naked Wiz http://www.nakedwhiz.com/lumpdatabase/lumpbag81.htm

$26.25 per box

Paul I've got a good buddy that uses the ceramic egg a lot. I'll ask him if he's interested.

Grilling season again so I figured I'd bump this thread for anyone looking for a lump alternative. I still have some if anyone wants to try the nut.
