CL: 1971 land rover Slla 109 - $11999

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv...513552369.html

71 Land rover series lla 109 regular... first brought to the USA by rovers north in the 90s.... this is an EXMOD rover... it was originally used as an ambulance in the ministry of defense... ambulance rover frames are reinforced and truly heavy duty compared to a 109 one ton... the frame is coated with that militarystuff... there is also NO rust on the frame what soever! while under my care .. i have replaced the rear crossmember with the original military crossmember purchased new from rovers north.... the floors/ kick panels (on bothsideds have been replaced with new galvinized parts from rovers north as well...bulkhead is in good condition with no rust on it....

This is a 109 regular with a 1/4 cab and a 3/4 canvas....it has the military head lights with the six position convoy light switch... the rover stands on wolf rims with hankook mud terrains... it has saddle bag gas tanks with the tank selector in the cab... the head has been up dated to take unleaded fuel .... also there is no scratching while shifting cause the tranny is a series lll transmission which has synchros... this rover can attain freeway speeds with the use of the overdrive, personally, i think this is a santana overdrive cause it has a bigger oil resivour than the fairy...it also has defender door tops... this rig also has all the military bumperettes/bumper over riders that are in good condition... this is vehicle is registered and titled in California... registration is up to date...

interested parties please contact me via email or call 323 707 9025.... if you don't know what this vehicle is please save your time and don't contact me...

Was this 109 from Plattsburgh NY last year with a worse army paint job? Figure there are not too many 71 EX-Mod 109's that are LHD in this country...

Yeah, glad you didnt haha, I wanted no rust to start with! Any rust left on the truck is surface and comes off with sand paper.

trucks

Man I miss both of those trucks. Both were good runners.
I have nothing to gain from this but I was the PO of the 71 exmod. This is a great running truck, stronger better running motor / smoother gearbox than any of the 5 rovers I have owned.

Aw come on a land rover loves snow, -30 deg winter nights. That constant 80 deg and sunshine must get boring, :-)
