Cheap project truck? - Copart Auction

It's listed as a 87 Discovery. Currently at $300. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Am I wrong, or is that an odd vehicle?

What's going on with the doors?

Seems to have been in very good condition before the accident.

Maybe it had some graphics on it they took off. It does look like it was really nice. It even had a new galvanized chassis.

That truck WAS really nice, but now it's all sorts of bent. Probably not a straight body panel in that and u would be surprised if the frame is twisted from what it looks like. Some interior pieces and hopefully the engine would still be good. You can get some nice parts off it and like 3 sheet metal body pieces that don't need much repair and some rims (at least 3)!
Screaming good deal for for the price. Too bad it doesn't have a 200 or 300 tdi in it!!!

that's what the VIN says... where is the VIN? in the frame. What frame is under that car? a new galvanised frame. So I think it was an original 200tdi Defender where they did a frame and vin swap. nevertheless some good salvageable parts for that price

anything less than $4K is a good price for a vin/title IMO who cares about the bits, maybe you'll get some seat bases and trim out of that truck but its pretty shot.

shitty accident and if its listed as a disco I bet they got hosed on value

It is a normal gimmick on these auctions, they put future sale to gauge the interest and amount

Then it will disappear and post again on the co-part site with a reserve ( on a call )

Yup...I found it on this co-part place first and then when I started to research a bit more I found the old CL ad. I like the look of it. I've never seen the lights mounted in that way on the top side wings before. Do you know anything about that? I couldn't find much, if any history on that variant.
