In the interest of full disclosure I know the seller. He called this afternoon because someone from the Netherlands was asking him about a buy it now and he wanted to know what I thought.
To answer the import cost question, based on the current exchange rate:
Transport to Southampton 200gbp ($312)
Ocean Shipping- Southampton to Baltimore 895 gbp ($1400)
Security Filings, Doc prep, import package filing,
broker, and retrieval from Marine Terminal $1385
So $3097 plus
customs duty which is $25 per thousand of purchase price.
Going back to I know the seller....he would stop the auction for 2500gbp ($3900) and is trading emails with someone in the Netherlands about doing so. If you are interested he's selling it to finance another project and is motivated. IE if someone here buys it before Christmas I'm confident he would deliver/drive it to Southampton for free ($300 saved)
So someone could own this for sub $7k which is pretty rediculously cheap.

Also you need to consider transport in the Main Land from origin tk
Southampton at a rate of £ 1.50 per mile
I have a negotiated "fixed rate" transport from any where in the UK to any port or designated address for 280gbp. There are two exception's: Western Wales and Scotland are 400 gbp. This opens things up considerably since trucks that were geographically undesireable like Cumbria etc were just passed over previously due to prohibative transport costs. For example my own 130 was way up North and it was cheaper to fly over and move it to the docks myself last year than have it transported. This is no longer the case, there are no longer geographically undesireable trucks in the UK except on Islands like the Hebrides but sellers there will generally deliver those to the mainland as part of the sale.
