If it did sell for 20k it's a steal with clean title.

I've been the "winning bid" before and they've said they sold it locally. There was also a truck a few months ago that the seller kept listing it after it had "sold" no reserve multiple times, until it finally was bid up higher than all the other times - haven't seen it since.

This same truck was offered for auction ending on Jan. 13, with a winning bid of $20k, but it was obviously relisted. Wonder if the seller lets it go at $20k this time around.

Lt77, no top (for all intents and purposes), $20k seems less than a steal, but still a fair price ....

This looks like a fun truck for the money, too...price due to mods/cuts and mileage issue most likely. 1997, yellow, AC, 55k estimated miles which kills it since they didn't make it so that the speedo could function with the "Ashcroft crawler box", clean title, well built - jvelador should have bought it!!!! Went for $23.5k

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-...item2a18f2af6f

This is one sweet Defender. It will take you anywhere you want to go and then get you back, Its a real head turner in traffic or on the trails!
This is a well maintained off road ( and on road ) vehicle. I have owned this vehicle since 1999 and when I purchased it, it was bone stock.
All the work has been done in a professional way so it is built to last! As you can see in one of the pictures, The rig was on the cover of Land Rover World
( its been in other issues also ). I will give a copy or two of that issue to the buyer.
This rig is in great shape... it is a trail rig, so don't expect a shiny waxed showroom queen, this is the real deal for hard-core off road fun, or to take you
where you need to go! Please be aware, the truck has about 55K miles on it, however due to the Ashcroft crawler box, a 1995 D90 transfer case needed
to be used which renders the speedo and odo inoperable ( the gps on the dash comes with the rig and can be used as a speedo )

Rimmer autorotor supercharger 4.0 L V8

All of that unorganized wiring under the hood, across the dash, and behind the seats is scary. Not to mention the paint scheme.
