I've installed that KBX grille before, and while it IS nice, I somehow doubt it'd stop a bullet from hitting the radiator.

Bullet resistant would be more accurate...also worth noting it will stop 9mm (i.e. nothing serious).

Windows rolling down generally is an indicator of an uparmored vehicle being more of a joke than anything. Good for a rap star I guess.

Seems odd that someone would sell this on Ebay...Correct me if I'm wrong but it's a 2013 as advertised, it's still illegal right?

Illegal for use by a private citizen in the US; but that's likely not who that auction is intended for anyway!

It is sporting Mexico tags. Probably some Mexican drug lord who got "retired" early.

Those are Mexican "transfer" tags. I'm guessing this was bought at the dealer in Monterrey, N.L. or some place and brought directly over. I feel sorry for the fool that tries to register this.

Not all roll up windows mean crappy Armor

I drove a Benz level IV with roll up windows.. but even a level III must have Run Flats and does not appear to be the case here.

On second thought, I think Ray G is correct. This is probably targeted at Mexican nationals shopping in Laredo. There's a company in San Antonio that does up-armored conversions; perhaps this was purchased in Mexico and shipped to the US for conversion and the sale on the US side is some sort of attempt by the seller to shift the taxation of the vehicle to the ultimate buyer.

You must still have a contact high from the geriatric field trip to the Eagles concert. Either that, or your channeling your inner Dro for the totally unintelligible about the relevance of Dave Grohl lyrics to armored vehicles.

Agreed, but it is not that a Bulletproof Vehicle was intended to collide with an SVBIED and note 0 consequences ( chances of making it alive are much better though).

Now for the PKM, unless it took a body opening from the collision with the Suicide Vehicle, a level IV or IV+ ( T7 - T8 ) armored should stand the heat of a Kali PKM ( even been felt fed and 7.62x54).

As that caliber is covered on a Level III (T6 ) armored Vehicle

Long time ago, and IDF armored T7 vehicle was ambushed outside Hebron ( more like Al Fawar , but wasn't suppossed to be there ;-) ) and the f@#kers had nothing but PKM and probably loaded with AP ( wonder who gave them those ones ) and all occupants made it just fine

Want more get an MRAP *LMAO* .. i know was a cheap shot

Oh, make no mistake-the BMW functioned as intended and everyone was fine during the moment of contact till the rest of the convoy came back around and sorted things. MK19 will solve a lot of problems quickly.

Of course the BMW then burnt to a crisp...nobody ever points out that up armor is good on kinetics...doesn't fare well against flame though! Just gotta choose when to crack the seal.

No thanks on the MRAP...those make Defenders seem elegant and refined. I'll stay low key and light skinned.
