Black '95 D90 ST, #2336

This is at a car repair shop down the road from me. It has around 87k miles, if I recall correctly, and there was no asking price on the sign.

It did have an NRP exhaust, leather rear bench seat, funky side steps, a little bit of rust throughout, but not too bad.

If anyone is seriously interested I can inquire further.

Greg

They are asking $22k. Seems like a reasonably good price.

I took a look at it when I was up for Off Road 4 Kids... it looked as if it had some rust. Also had a mount for a plow hook up... other wise looked good.

I guess Greg and I forgot to report on this too. We took it for a test drive. Drove nice but had a very short throw on the clutch. Pulled a bit when braking. It must have been a fastback configuration in the past because half of the rear caged parts are not stock and missing the padding. It's very very rusty. I wouldn't pay 15K for it.

Oh, it had the "service engine" light on, not the check engine light. Before I realized that I checked/cleared the code and it had a code 48. The service engine light was still on after clearing the code, so it's possible both were on initially (maybe Greg remembers more). Anyone know what the service engine light on means?

It looked nice from a few feet away though

It's a mileage thing. There's a box behind the instrument binnacle that resets it.

Based on your analysis how much do you think this 90 is worth?

Best get Greg's opinion, but $15K would be pushing it for me. There have been much better deals here recently so assume even more of them out there. Remember it has the 2 biggest/most expensive negatives out there IMO - rust and non stock cage.

Yeah, I would say somewhere around $15k. It does have low mileage, but the maintenance could be suspect. Rust in all the right places, and corrosion as well. It has been sitting there for a couple months now, so they may be willing to deal.

I thought you were going to say because it had a stack exhaust.

What about the RHD Land Cruiser that was there? Much more interesting than yet another overpriced rusty NAS D90 with electrical problems. LOL.
