Horsey, I think you need to keep the same avatar, that I slaved over to create, after you get your truck. Maybe I can make the horse black for you?

Paperwork all goes through today, will likely ship on Tuesday, and arrive around the 12 or 14th! So, that means no Asheville until a month or so down the road I'm afraid.

Horsey, Rover Accessories, Aux fuel tank

Gents
I'm stoked that Josh got the D90, and I remember when the truck was at Rover Accessories when Charles was in Manhattan Beach. While Barry finds aux tank provocative, Its made the truck super usable, both in town and on long road trips. I purchased the tank from Aero Tanks in Corona, CA...I dont think they're still available...I have a very clean LR rocker switch on the steering column, for the fuel pump. The tank fills through a fill in the wheel well-just in front of the right rear tire.
I have side steps that frame mount, and act as a cage around the aux tank...

This looks like a great truck to me, the mods are cool, and I know that RA did great work, they did on my1997 D90 SW...I'm not so jacked up about the Rhino lining, i think it's ultimately cleaner than the factory rubber--seams and all....Props to Horsey for pulling the trigger...

I can send pix of the tank if anyone cares...
Peace,
MJ

All paperwork finally went through today! It was a little crazy as his bank was having probs communicating with my bank, but funds have finally changed hands, and she gets picked up tomorrow morning! She has to be under 6'6'' in order to get on the carrier, so he's removed the Thule racks, pushed back or removed the racked HELLAs, and will need to air down the tires to get her to 6'5''.

Will arrive sometime between Apr 12-15th!

Oh, the best part is that I just got a place in Hoboken, and according to Exemption 7, I will not need to pay taxes on her!

Congratulations!!! The whole process is a pain in the butt but oh so worthwhile

I remember having fund transfer issues when I purchased mine too...

Nola stands at 7'5" with her old shoes on (she'll be 7'6"ish when she gets new ones) so I'm sure glad my carrier didn't have a 6'6" rule!!! (although there was initially a big tadoo when I told them how tall she was)

Josh,

As a former Jersey Boy, I don't mean to rain in your parade , but I am pretty sure that Exemption7 applies to a vehicle TITLED in your name in another state ( meanning you have paid taxes somewhere ) .

maybe visit VA for few weeks and pay 3% *LOL*

Now what kind of carrier is this that you have to be under 6.6'?

Is the D90 comming with out of state tags? how will you manage NY/NJ with no tags?

Cool. Is the rover going to be ship to Hoboken? Your new place does it have a parking garage?

Shipping it to Morristown, going straight to DMV and picking up some license plates, then heading into Hobo with her. I'm still trying to find a parking garage that won't take it will fit in.

Be sure to have the insurance card before going straight to DMV for the license plates and registration card. If not, DMV won't process it. Also, once you have everything i.e. insurance card, license plate and registration card; go straight to the NJ motor vehicle for State inspection. Its good for 2 years.
