I have no knowledge of the process the guy used to register them but from what the ad says and the plates I assume they are registered as 2010s in California.

I can do that for $87,000 including metalic paint and body coloured roof, also with ABS/Traction control, 7 seats in leather, leather steering wheel, cubby box, heated front windscreen. EX works and we can make it Automatic for an additional $10,021

I'm thinking that he had to walk through the DMV handing out $100's like Ray Liotta in Goodfellas.
He told Barry he drove the trucks in from Mexico.

Well he actually imported the trucks from the UK to Mexico, then drove them. YOu can actually buy new defenders in mexico though. I think they just started selling them there.

I think all the info posted publically could potentially ruin other's intent/knowledge of possible entrance

Not that anyone cares what I have to say

Horsey, you're welcome to come over to my place and check one of them out. The grey one to be exact.

You need to start posting larger pictures. Those look like round relief on the black one in the first of 3 pics you posted.

So basically it's now in a hyperbaric chamber, shielded from the elements?

Horsey

I just checked my photos and they are shit so I can't blow them up. Also for such a research guy as yourself you would know that deep dish wheels aren't an option for pumas. Yes I know you can buy them from land rover but I have never seen a puma with them and they aren't listed on the site anymore.

I know that. I had forgotten the conversation about how these were brand new and not "built" trucks.

I've seen the newest SVX rims on a Puma though, and I don't recall them being available for Pumas at the time either. I remember seeing a picture, I'll have to see if I can pull that up...

Or look at an SVX and you can see the wheels since the truck is a puma...

California has a special program where they give out a certain number of titles for stuff that is homebuilt or odd or whatever. This is what the Ariel Atom buyers have to do. I would bet that is what this guy did. Of course, you can get a title in a bunch of other states that says 2010 land rover defender with the correct VIN but it does not make it federally legal.
