FYI, you need to state the year as some numbers have both a 94 or 95 and a 97 and the low numbers could also be 95 SW or 93 110s.

Is the auction house willing to send you additional pics before the auction this Sat? I wouldn't go off of those 2 pics.

Looks like it's spent its life in FL, PA, and MT:

I have requested more pics but don't love buying anything sight unseen. Also - in my limited experience, carfax isn't perfect at turfing up odometer issues. Any suggestions on spotting a roll back? I found some website showing font differences between original and aftermarket, but I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the two.

ECR has some pictures ... basically the font is different on an after market speedo. Rather than worry about the absolute mileage I'd look for evidence that it has been well maintained ... and abused 40K is worse than a well looked after 100K.

I would imagine a Defender is about the worse thing to buy sight unseen ... lots of lipstick on pigs ... ask if anyone can check it out for you or recommend an inspector ...
