Anyone have a friend on the ground in Norway ?

Tom Rowe posted this on another forum-some really neat stuff to be had. I hate series trucks but would love to own the special forestry truck.

Sadly the Auction is in Norway.
Some in not so great shape, some pretty nice.
1 Tons, Fire Tenders, Tickfords....

Apparently the owner collected them from around Europe with the intent of restoring at least some and putting them on display. Looks like the warehouse where they are stored is wanting money that's not there, so the Council is forcing the sale.

Many (most?) have been stored in a warehouse, but here are ones that have been stored outside (and some vandalized)

http://picasaweb.google.com/csolstad8/KjetilsBilerUte# stuff stored out doors

» Norwegian Auction
Norwegian Auction

Posted: 4:20pm, 4 November 2010

An auction of numerous collectable Land Rovers and Austin Gipsys is to take place in Norway. It includes Series Ones including a Tickford, a One-ton 109in and other rare models including fire engines,

This is all the information we have about it at present; "AUCTION Enforcement Sandnes should have forced auction of cars Saturday 4 December 2010, at. 12:00, in the Main Road 19, Sandnes (egglaget old) cars can be viewed from at. 10.00. There are about 90 cars in varying condition to be forcibly sold. Most cars are branded Land Rover from 1950 to mid 1970's. Here are the vehicles of the type of FC, 109, 88, Light weight, Range Rover, fire engines with and without equipment, ambulances and military vehicles. Some of the cars is a Norwegian registered and designation as a veteran vehicles. Most are not registered. There are also some "parts cars". Otherwise, there are some parts such as doors, engines, etc. Besides this, there is a Jaguar XJ 12 L, 2 MG, 1 Mini Morris 1000 and a Dennis fire engine with a Rolls Royce engine. The vehicles are sold as is by petition. The bids are binding and the buyer will not be picked up car (one) before they are paid. The cars are sold under the provisions of the Enforcement Act, Chapter 8 and Chapter 13 Buyers thus have limited ability to invoke the missing. It can be a problem in obtaining papers for registration. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Enforcement Sandnes v / Juanita Håland (08:00 - 14:30) 51 68 42 10"

These vehicles should be saved. They will probably be scrapped if not sold.

I believe its obe of the amphibous lwb's they made (could have had flotation bags, notice the lack of proper doors, I only ever saw one other and it was a series 1 type. Belonged to Stafford Dovey the series 1 Guru in the UK. I can't confirm this but that is what I was told at the time by Stafford.
