Yikes. That's one of the worst burn victims I've seen so far.

Worst part of the ad:

"Again the Jeep is listed locally so I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time."

Has no title at all, not even a salvage title. Less than worthless.

Might be worth it if they threw in the trailer.

So here is a question. If you bought this and some how found the original vin# why could you not go to the local dmv with the numbers and at the least get a salvaged title and put it back to usable. Only reason I can think of is one of the hop up shops already used the vin and did a(cough, vin swap) restoration. NO?

The rear plate is still on the truck, so finding the VIN would be pretty easy, even if the VIN was not identifiable on any other part of the vehicle.

Vin should be very aparent on the right frame horn looking @ the damage. Looks like you have axles, frame, cage and st spare tire carrier, front and rear bumpers. Not sure if 16kpsi has mastered the re-molding of the foam around the cage but he was looking into it. With a bill of sale I'm sure a title can be had through an online title service.....

remolding will happen, but these dang summer 'projects' keep getting in the way. Looks like I'll have to wait until the dark of winter for the wife to stop bugging me....

(that's also why I'm in no particular hurry for those doors....but soon. soon.)

I'm on it man. Sorry, I have a huge project (building a truck) that I'm doing for a guy in the other California down below you.
I have a pallet, just need to build some form of frame to hold the four doors apart and then enclose it in 1/4 ply. Sounds easier than it is.

actually went to look at this one there is nothing on the body that is worth salvaging if the heat didnt warp it the exposed metal rusted. if you dont care about the roll cage foam its good and so is the tire carrier and brush gaurd. chassis wise its ok, but even the bulkhead paint got baked off and the center section is rusted out and weak. seems to me that the metal's temper was dramatically effected in this fire. i was really disappointed in the fact that the rear wheel wells were melted out. im still thinking about getting it for the chassis alone but its a hot mess.
