97 D90 with rusty frame

Can some of you shed some light on how much this thing would go for? I have nothing to do with this link, just curious. Thanks.

That rust doesn't look that bad...just knock off the lose stuff and Waxoyl it...lol

Really though, a galvy frame from RN = 4k plus all of the other items that are rotted...you will not know until you dig into it.
Definatley use the rust as a bargining tool.
She looks like a candidate for a total restoration...

Eh, no pics of the bulkhead is what worries me. Looks like it towed a boat (see the front reciever hitch).

towed it under water!! we work on trucks that are on the beach on fire island every day and sometimes they are driven in the surf, as they have no choice when the tide is up, and even they are not that rusty! this truck has definitley been under water there is no way it can get that bad on its own, it looks as if the weight of the truck on the lift is crushing what is left of the frame....bad

my guess it they towed a boat with it, and submerged it up to the frame loading and unloading the boat in the salt water. That's the only time I've seen something like that.

Left in New Orleans during a hurricane maybe?

There are almost no shots of the areas you would normally want to see for rust.

The seller (or agent) is Robinson's. Those guys are professional Waxoyl applicators. Guy must of brought his rig in to get it done and they must of gave him the bad news. Took it off his hands and are trying to sell it for him (if they can).

Seriously, that hurts my eyes to look at. Must of been stuck in a salt marsh for months with tide going in and out for that to happen. Pretty sad.

Could have just been driven and lived a normal life. I have seen 2 D's in Chicago that were heading to the rust heap fast. One had the floorboards going and another needed a new rear cross.

Road salt mud and lazy and you get too much rust...
