'97 D90 on NY (Hudson Valley) Craiglist

Hey Gang-

Would love to check this one out and own it, but I'm out of the loop for D90 shopping until the economy turns around (and I can find a new company to work for...if not start my own).

Found this on Craigslist recently. Guy has 3 sons in college and this is his 2nd car (his toy as he put it), so he says he needs to get rid of it. Not sure if he's willing to sway on price or on the condition of the chassis and all.

The following is my correspondence with him:

I would require 10% down in cash and will negotiate a reasonable hold time with you. Attached are more photos. Undersides of doors and rear bumper have rust typical of vehicle of this age but not excessive. You are a little more than 60 miles from me - why not come down and see for yourself and take it for a ride? Jeff 914 263 8585

No leaks to speak of and no oil burning. The chassis is solid with no rotting and the floorboards are aluminum. I purchased this vehicle from local land rover dealer six years ago and it had a four year service warrantee, since expired. It has been serviced by land rover only and truly has been not been denied anything - it is my second car and my baby and if they said it needed anything I let them do it. In the last year alone I replaced brakes front and rear completely and a new radiator, water pump and fan clutch. I have three sons in college at this time and simply need the cash, hence i am selling my toy.

Got 6 cars and 5 drivers - toy has to go!

I have checked this rig out once, I live about 15 minutes from it. He has been trying to sell it for at least a year, he started selling it last year at 35k, obviously not worth it. It has been on ebay a few times. It does have some rust on the frame & rear crossmember. It didn't strike me as being in great condition, especially for 25k.
