I have no doubt that will get snapped up in short order. Hell, I should buy it and flip it.

Pretty sweet. I'd say the chances of it going to someone who isn't just going to flip it for some quick money are zero.

I can bet both are scams...

When was the last time you saw a Defender owner, for at least 5 years, call it a "Range Rover" Defender.

The 90 is obviously a scam and has been around for months. Nothing new there. The 110 is a little different.

And because no one ever saves these pics on here before they're deleted (Clay!) here they are.

"White Range Rover Defender '93 - $6000 (St. Charles)

Date: 2011-05-10, 4:08PM CDT
Reply to: sale-k8akp-2373601135@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

For sale a 1993 White Ranger Rover Defender. The truck has been sitting for approximately 5 years.

Sell as is in non running condition.

Would need to be towed out.

Physical appearance is good (doors, fenders, hood, trunk, exo-frame, luggage rack).

But a thorough look-over is required.

Call (630) 377-3774 for details"

I still call BS...

The first picture is a bit blurry, but it doesn't even have basket.

It has the basket in the first pic if you zoom in. True the tires don't look as low as 5 years sitting, but they are low. Regardless I offer $22k cash in hand, could PayPal a deposit, and would pick it up in person. To keep. $6k wasn't going to cut it.

Did you get the badge number?

I do agree, though...somewhat of a "scam". If the seller was telling us the truck has been parked for 5 years, it should have been parked here when these were taken, unless they're all older than 5 years old!

Their company is all Porsche, Ferrari and Maserati, so I am a bit surprised that they called it a Range Rover Defender...

that building doesnt look 5 years old.

how about this.....the truck was sitting elsewhere and then put in that parking spot. so, yes, it couldve been sitting for 5 years and not in your picture. one picture shows what looks like leaves on top of the truck. what happened to the forest around the truck? seriously. i dont think they meant its been in the exact same spot sitting for 5 years. and, to transport it, i would imagine it would be a lot easier to inflate the tires. hence, one looks like it isnt holding air.
