Oh trust me it's a legitimate truck...just saying it hasn't been sitting there for 5 years.

With regard to the forest, I think the truck has been sitting there since the forest was there, and when they tore it down to build the office complex, those leaves ended up on the roof.

.......OR wind.....

Gone- Like Jack handy says

Yeah
What a bummer...I set up my massive multiple state craigsliast search engine and search it about every night. The one night I don't a 93 NAS 110 pops up- unreal!!!!

Called the guy this am and it is sold/gone....rats!!!! What a deal...

I guess I gotta move on and forget about what could have been...

Like Jack Handy (deep thoughts from SNL) says

"If you drop your keys into a hot molted river of lava forget about them cause man there gone....."

Those window guards would have looked nice on there, too.

Hopefully the new owner will buy a set.

Horsey where did you come up with 22k as the magic number?

Also since you are clueless and 12. Anyone who knows these trucks knows that calling it a range rover defender isn't a surprise. All my paperwork on my nas 110 ( original bill of sale, etc)said range rover all over since in 93 that was the brand recognition in the USA. Being a one owner truck rotting it is no shock the owner wasn't aware.

And I wish I was 12 too so don't take it as an insult.

All my paperwork, including my title calls it a 'Range Rover'. That said, this truck was pretty close to where I live, but my threshold (and my wife's) for 'barn find' Defenders is less than or equal to 1.

I wonder if Chicagoland is littered with semi-abandon Defenders. I should go on safari.

$22k wasn't a magic number really when you take into consideration that this was likely the closest comparable from what we've seen:

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ad.php?t=23391

and that any decent-ish game theory would dictate that "bids" wouldn't stay at $6k. Plus, you'd want to both make yourself legitimate (immediate deposit) and stand out (offer over $6k, when 100 people are offering $6k), and comparable (assuming he had rec'd multiple offers over $6k that may have begun to approach $20k).

So, what did it go for, and what was the badge number? Oh, and who got it?

You're calling Pedro a 12 year old? And yes, although Euroequipe doesn't service Land Rovers, they do service BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. so it is a little surprising that it wouldn't state Land Rover in the ad, perhaps in addition to Range Rover. Call me new school.

Yeah I am on the list. No clue where though. I assume I will get my turn if everyone on the list dies

I am surprised no one has questioned the yellow cage and capping. I thought it was rust but it is too perfect. Looks like paint.

Clay

You are so altruistic. Posting the ad and not taking it for yourself.

I am in the same boat as Jerod. If I buy one more thing for my truck my wife is going to turn into an ICBM and I am N. Korea. I already have Project X 90 that I haven't been able to get to in the past 2 months.

I was hoping someone on the board could end up with the truck and we could talk about the barn find for year's to come. Not to mention the tales from the owner on how rotted out it was and that it took $50,000 to restore and we could all feel better that we didn't end up with another money pit.

Would be nice to sit around and talk about this truck. I hope the owner is on here. Mainly because I want to know what color the cage is. Powdercoated with piss?

Not saying that miracles don't happen, but for an exotic car garage to sell a vehicle like this in this manner and for this price is really a stretch. I don't know anyone in this business that wouldn't take that truck off the owners hands, get it at least running and flip it for a nice profit.
