I know Dave, great truck, the Toyota diesel will outlast 2 or 3 300TDIs

Dunno about that JL. I just sold a B and had a 2h in a previous 110. I'd rather have a tdi. Those old Toyota diesels are ancient technology. Like the way they used a series dash when converting to lhd instead of getting a defender lhd setup-its just different.

I agree on a B and a 2H, they both are not a great match for a Rover but a late 3B is a different ballgame. I know the owner and have driven this truck and kinda consulted on its construction. This one has a turbo on it - As powerful as a 300TDI, a bit noisier but not bad, it has an inline pump, cast iron head, and gear driven timing parts. It's no 300TDI, but then again, you pay a premium for noise and weight.

When someone makes it to 600K miles on a 300TDI I will change my tune. This is a great truck for the money, and it's all galvy (except for the frame). I knew Ron would like it
