I wonder how many hating on it have actually driven one?

The company can't only produce Defenders and survive in the global marketplace.

Its probably a very good car ... the fact that it is 'rejected' by a various demographic is probably a win for the brand management ... they are moving towards new markets and would potentially alienate target buyers if LR show rooms were full of offroad people loading bull bars onto evoques.

No doubt. The Corvette is a special vehicle produced by a global auto manufacturer, so why bother talking about the Aveo in the Corvette forum? It's just out of context there and has nothing in common except the badge.

Yep, my guess as well. The first time I saw the Evoque unveiled I was hugely disappointed that the company would do that. Having driven one almost a thousand miles in a variety of weather conditions it completely changed my position. The car(and I will keep calling it that) is one of(Yes Justin, one of) the best winter weather vehicles out there.

I also started liking the looks as well. Yes, it is very dynamic and pretty out there, but the build quality and drivability cloud my vision of any flaws.

Here's the one at LREX

I'm with Jeff, I think "Hater" is a pretty strong term here, perhaps "Pokers of fun" would be a better fit.

I got a pic of it today. Pretty sharp looking with the flat gray.

I rode in one over the weekend that my friend had as a loaner from the dealer. It was a darn comfy little car. If I was looking for an X3 or a smaller Lexus, I think the evoque would be a good model to consider.

It sure does. Of all the things in it, the evoque is probably the least interesting. I did manage to get the Lotus in that shot for Ron
