I dont buy it all.....

There is enough people on here that have thought of every way to get one in and havent. If there was a way, there would have been a stickie posted already titled "How to Get illegal Defender into US".

VIN on title matches on the pics of truck. I am less surprised truck is in the USA and more surprised a dealer could handle service. Oil changes sure but warranty work I can't picture

Why? Isn't the engine the same as the Transit Connect van's that are sold and serviced here?

they are not sold and serviced here. Transit connect is not the same as the Transit sold in Europe. Besides the TC is a gasoline engine here in the good old US of A.

Good to know - I always thought the Transit was a work horse and would run on diesel even here.

Oregon will let you title basically anything as will some other states. It was "illegally" imported and then "legally" titled there. 90 some odd percent of containers are never opened. It is not rocket science, it is just a matter of how "illegal" is too "illegal" for you.

Ah, you are the one in Alabama the seller told me about. I was about to go over and look at it yesterday and he told me that someone in Alabama was about to buy it. Congrats!

Would love to know how maintenance, etc works out with a PUMA seeing as no one is familiar with them here in the States.
