2 door RRCs - the poor man's NAS Defender?

A couple of nice eBay finds...

This one's been around for a while. Used to be listed for $55K and it now jumped to $75K!

This one's very interesting... I wonder how much this one would go for. Someone from here might know this truck.

There was a time in my life when I lost my Defender envy. It was when I had my mint condition 1993 LWB.

I love the classic. And I love 2 doors even more.

My first experience driving a Range Rover was 23 years ago in a 1978 2 door.

If I lived in California still, I would consider the 81. Love the fact WCR put a 4.6 in it. That would be an amazing DD.

I remember reading that one of the members of Led Zeppelin (maybe Jimmy Page or Robert Plant?) owned one of the first Range Rover Classics when Land Rover introduced them. I think they were first introduced as 2 doors, but im not sure.

They were also Ferrari fans:
Ferrari 400i automatic :John Bonham
1978 Ferrari 400 sedan :Jimmy Page
1966 Ferrari GTB 275 light metallic blue:Jimmy Page

You're probably thinking of Ginger Baker of Cream. Should be able to Google it, pretty cool story and some film footage of his adventures in that truck

No it was definitely Led Zeppelin - I just forgot which member. For some reason, I think it was Jimmy Page.

The footage of Ginger in his RR in Africa in the 70's is priceless. Around the same time he went down and played with Fela IIRC.

Dude, that white one is my buddy Nick's rover! Selling it?!?!? Man, marriage does change things. I thought he would keep that thing forever! I'll tell you what, that thing is SUPER clean. Sad to see it go. Angry text coming his way...
