the 1972 is currently under investigation by the NHTSA, as they told me they are trying to track the owner so they can seize the vehicle.

Maybe the NHTSA should bid on it.

That 72 110/109 looks familiar. I think someone on the forum called and spoke to the owner and maybe his dad had a car dealership? But all the "no expense spared" repros are all starting to run together in my head,

Hey Julian, you owe me a phone call/email....

I did talk to the owner a long time ago when he listed it the first time. Looks like the same truck but a different seller's name.

Both trucks have been listed by multiple sellers. The white one was listed last week by someone else and failed to sell.

Is this because of the vin stamped to a new galvy chassis? Or, is NHSTA seeing through the bs that these are now popping up more and more that these are actually new models (2010,etc) and not legal?

i like the california plate that is blocked out. it gives the impression to a potential buyer that makes its legit and registered.

i wonder why the seller felt a need to use such a huge font? How did they know my pc has a 70" monitor?

I do find it interesting that they went as far as acquiring the recent owners manuals for the '72 109 in the restoration.

You would think the owner's manual from 1972 would be worth more...

There would only be one restoration picture, removing and re-applying the vin plate

I'm sure they have receipts for every part used in the resto right?
