I heard pilot dropped flyers from a plane. The world must know that conniston with a white roof is the most valuable defender made!!! Obviously it has to have the stout 4.0.

Where is defenderpilot anyway?

I wondered where you went. Glad YOUR ok. I do wish I had the cash for this sweet truck. It is conniston green with a white roof and a 4.0!!!

Maybe if I had YOU'RE lenkrads money I would feel comfortable bidding. Anyone know where I can find virgin lenkrads?

------ Follow up post added December 1st, 2011 10:46 PM ------

Will be happy when this thing is gone.

Then we can start over with the yellow one.

Someone can steal this thing now...only $70K now. Seller must be desperate to sell the most valuable and rarest of all defenders.

It is funny the price has been dropping steadily yet Pilot has said nothing. Being they made so few of these and SW are rarer than soft tops, I really could use an expert to chime and and explain it to me.

$67,100?! Seems cheap. Wasn't 300/300 sold for more?

Yeah, you mean how the ad says 1,765 miles but Carfax and AutoCheck show it had over 3,500 miles back in 2005? What happened to Defender Pilot? He must have gotten his feelings hurt by the low price this thing went for, or maybe he finally found it would be wise to give up his argument that this thing would fetch more money!

the ad / the odo... when they are that low it is tough to believe a story. im sure it was a great truck, but when you pay for a premium and there is a hick-up it better be explainable.

DefenderPilot must have gotten bored with the site because his steering wheels weren't selling like hotcakes. Horsey's probably right, he must be ashamed his beloved conniston with white roof didn't fetch the "rare" premium it was supposed to. Don't worry, Pilot, I'm sure it's just the state of the economy right now.

Didn't even see that discrepancy in the odometer, no way this truck is worth $67K now seeing as it really has ~5K miles. Has to be worth $20-30K less, for sure.

OK I think I figured out where he went!

He's been reviewing all of Berry's posts and will soon come out with a thesis - no doubt bound in one of the most excellent and rare Workshop Manual binders he has sourced.

I seriously can't wait. Such gems as these can only come from one man.

From both eBay and Autotrader, totals were listing from all of the US.

Arles Blue SW + ST = 8

Coniston Green SW + ST = 10

Both colors are close even though there are less blues. More people are keeping the greens over the blues. Also, 3 of the blues were SW and 3 of the greens as well.

Back up for sale on ebay.
This time a new seller id and location is now in CT.
It has the same pictures and does not seem like a car to flip.
Strange. Maybe if a few steering wheels are thrown in the deal will go down.
