1994 Camel Trophy 110 for sale

Has been on Nova's Craiglist for two days. Right now.... It does not look $25K if you asked me! ;-) Not related at all (don't know him even remotely) with the seller.
===========================
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...988422059.html

This is a real Camel Trophy 110 (1994 & 1995 C.T. rallys). The Camel is in the process of a complete restoration.70% of the restoration is finished.200tdi engine has been rebuilt, so has the R380 Transmission.I brought a container of parts from England for the restoration(all included);new Brownchurch full length roof rack,new Saftey Devices exteior roll cage,New Soundzillerz complete lead lined soundproofing kit(includes engine blanket)the list goes on and on.................I have over $35,000 invested in this truck that will be worth twice that when its finished.... This is also on of the rareist C.T. Defenders in the world..having gone through two C.T.rallies.MUST BE SEEN TO APPRECIATE. Please e-mail or call for any questions. Not a spec of sandglow yellow anywhere on that truck. This fellow advertised a 300tdi engine for $3500 last summer and was a super squirrel when friends called to try and buy it. He seemingly raised his price with each phone call. I wouldn't place much creedence in his claims. Must have been a small container- that thing has a long way to go.

I thought the guy turned out to be legit. Looks like an interesting project. Camel VINs not a big selling point in the US. But could perhaps become a nice truck.

I am and the Rover in question are legit.Mr Marland 110 is the only one who is not legit.No there is not sandglo on it because ,as stated,they were taken off and are still available.The 300tdi in question was sold for the exact price listed,whitch was about half it's value.I am not in the car or car parts business,I am not selling, nor have I ever sold parts for profit. Regardless of what ignorant haters want to say,this is one of the rarest Land Rovers in the world.It needed the restoratiopn I started and I only wish I could finish what I started. I am willing to answer any question about the Camel any serious buyer would ask.I would also hope people would ask me and not rely on advise from those who know nothing of me or my vehicles.

Don't know Frank at all, do know Doug, and certainly can vouch for him, and know a tad about CT trucks- just sold my 8k mile CT110 museum piece, but thought it a bit rare. Oh well, perhaps Frank isn't aware the resto kills the value, hence his propensity to loose money on his Rover bits...

because Ras Frank found the thread and got upset that people were talking about details of his transactions. Frank...several of us were in communication with you in rpesonse to your 300tdi for sale on craigslist. And at the time we were all talking with each other. Many of us are good friends with the person who bought it. Your truck looks pretty nice, and I'm sure someone will end up happy with it. How about starting over and using the friendly local Land Rover community to your advantage rather than picking a fight with one of our most respected members. You could even come to a happy hour. We don't bite.

The person who bought the 300tdi engine is a friend of mine. Another friend Robert Davis had also called about the engine, as did Ren Ching. The only feed back I got was that the price was moving over the phone (heard this from all three). Mark ended up buying the engine over a year ago. I'm bringing over a new tdi Ashcroft automatic transmission for him to install with the 300 in his 110. I don't know Frank, haven't met Frank, have never spoken to Frank, don't have anything to say about his restoration project for sale. His disparaging coment doesn't bother me in the least. Best of luck with your sale.

Dale I'm bummed to hear you sold the CT 110. @ least I took lots of pictures when it was in my possesion.
