1994 Arles Blue For Sale - $26,000 BIN

I figured I'd get the word out there for those looking before someone hits the BIN button, removes a few goodies and lists it back up for $35k next month. Needs a little work but it looks pretty nice.

1994 Land Rover Defender
Arles blue

1smallworld (11 )

Location: San Diego, California

Buy It Now: $26,000

VIN: SALDV2286RA939445

Plaque: 742

Mileage: 116,730

Description:

We are selling our much loved and much used 1994 NAS Land Rover Defender 90. Outfitted in original SafariGard armor including a front 3-link suspension, tailing arms, rock sliders, rear spare carrier with gas can shelf, blade bumper with 8000 lb. Warn winch and rear tow receiver. Three inch lift with Fox shocks. Front and rear ARB air lockers, and Great Basin Rovers HD rear axle half-shafts with 4.10 gears. Wheels are SafariGard 15x7 steel rims, but a set (4) of American Racing alloy 16x7 are included if you want them. Newer Badger Coach Works canvas top. Borla cat-back exhaust.
This vehicle was used as intended and has been to the Rubicon and done many trails at Moab, and has some battle scars to prove it. Right and left front wings have dents and the paint has a few scratches and scrapes. The frame is straight, but has a few hits. Mechanically the 90 is sound and the 3.9 V8 engine and ZF 4HP22 automatic transmission run well. The engine does not overheat.
This vehicle would be perfect for someone who wants a trail-ready D90. Some maintenance needs to be performed (tires, shocks, rear suspension A-arm bushings and ball joint, fluids), but purchase includes miscellaneous spares and parts to get some of this done. Purchase includes aftermarket air condition unit that has been removed, but was working at the time it was removed.
Why buy one of those 25+ year-old grey market 110ís or 90ís that seem to be all over eBay when you can buy this original 1994 NAS for a reasonable price. All questions are welcome and answered honestly.
Inter-bank wire transfer accepted for payment. Cashier's checks are acceptable but the vehicle will not be transferred until the check has cleared.

pretty tempting. guessing this has more than the usual number of rattles. Would like to see how elegant the auto conversion was done.

At what point does a vehicle become "unoriginal"?

Even a picture with Dan Mick. That's pretty original.

So before the 4.10s and aftermarket bumpers go on.

*I also am not putting this truck down, it's sweet.

Yeah, my house had good bones. The renovation was still expensive! It's a good looking truck that has been applied towards it's intended use. I hope someone here snatches it.

I think this Defender must have been built by the same guy that built mine. Must be a San Diego thing.
