1988 D-110 (130?) on ebay

Anyone seen this one? What's not adding up?

OP thinks it's a 130 and doesn't see that it's a 110 DCPU

Got it.

The ad says 110
The VIN says 110
The picture is a 110
My physics degree math adds up to a D-110.

^what Zack said.

Appears to be a legit, early, ribbed-roof truck that's maybe had a DC conversion. But definitely isn't a 130! Look at my registry for what a "proper" 130 appears as .

Sorry for the crappy first post (i'm just learning the D-world). I've been looking at the following at the local dealer.

http://www.landrovernashville.com/us...5827cb4988.htm

which is clearly not a D-90 either. It has D-130 on the tailgate. Compared to the one at the dealer, the one on the ebay auction seemed at least semi-reasonably priced. I was curious if there was anything clearly amiss from the forum experts.

Not over the internet.

That red one is sweet if it's an actual Td5 130. Should be no problems getting it registered as a 1981 Td5 130 titled as a 1981 Series III 109.

I bet it is, it's got the right speedo.... with the fancy red light. I'd drive it.

I think the red one was the one that Koltonstanley Owned and returned for the white one he has now. Could be wrong. He returned the red one for some issues.

If money wasn't an issue, I'd take it for sure. So, OP, if money isn't an issue you should pick the red one up.

I'm trying to justify buying the one on ebay and putting A/C in it. Black is the worst color for a vehicle in AZ so that isn't helping either.

I would put super wide white walls like what Briggsie has on his truck.

My understanding is that he got those white walls from Mrs. Nussbaum.

You'd think a jaguar dealer would know better... LRNA should police their own instead of coming after the innocents..

Surely Will should be able to use this as a blatant example of land rovers inability to follow their own rules..especially with this being soooooo freakigg blatant..

yeah - ya really gotta wonder about a company that assists the govt in pursuing individuals who own "purported" illegal vehicles - yet is quite happy to sell those same individuals vehicles that "appear" illegal.

Not just a Jag dealer, the 130 is for sale at the Land Rover dealer (they just added Jag). I was curious how that would work out.

No bids on the ebay 110 DCPU (see how I'm learning), so maybe the market is not as crazy as it seems sometimes.

Money is very much an issue. I'm at the stage on my P38 to either sink a few dollars (heater core, blend motors, top end of engine) or look for a new project (defender). Thanks for the dialogue and feedback.

I wonder if LRNA HQ knows about the

Model: Land Rover, Series III
Body type: Basic
Wheel base: 109in
Engine: petrol
Model years: 1972-1979
Destination: Export, left-hand drive (LHD)

that is for sale listed as a 1981 and is a *bit* longer than 109 inches. That thing needs to go through more than just a car wash to get clean...
