1969 series 2A

any thoughts on this listing http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/834477236.html ? Seems cheap.....never driven a truck with so many damned gears either and would have to drive barefoot so i can use all ten toes and fingers to keep track Curious as to why one would need 4 revers gears?

I see a lot of scams on Craigslist. Especially when they don't list there phone number.

The number of reverse options is a result of the overdrive and the transfercase. Your current land rover probably has two reverse speeds: low and high. With the overdrive on this vehicle further combinations are possible (though the likely-hood of ever wanting to use high range + overdrive in reverse is probably nil.)

Did he include a contact number? If he does it may be legit.

I like the harbor fright tow rope of death on the rear bumper. Definitley adds street cred.

It has a US Forces in Germany license plate (and a relatively recent one), so it was owned by someone working with DoD in Germany within the last 8-9 years.
