1966 109 to 110 - provenance?

apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum...

i've been watching this truck on craigslist and ebay: http://specialtysales.com/vehicles/30875

i've inquired with the sellers, but other than a detailed description of the restoration, i can't determine the origin/provenance of the truck. does anyone on the forum know anything about this rover?

many thanks!

I don't see anything that makes that a "brand new defender 110"

NAS rear bumper and it says 110 up on the roof. That's enough to convince me.

being facetious Jeffe

GM 4cyl, 110 chassis, nice straight 109 body and identity, trop top, sills painted black for some reason, scary looking wiring. All for 35k.

I'd take any one of Devin's three lhd diesel 110's over this truck, but thats me.

Is that a GM 4 cyl 3.0 alla Buick ?

Looks to me a 109 body was thrown in. 110 chassis with an lt230, maybe an lt77 or R380 and some Mickey Mouse motor

If that it's worth 35k I would list my Ohio ocean front condo for sale for a very low price of 250k, and if you act NOW, I will include the furniture, but that is not all, call NOW and you can have it in just 4 easy payments of 67.5k

Call NOW, operators are standing by and remember this is a limited offer. CALL NOW

It's kinda nice looking a quirky way ... But it's a mutt ... Anytime anything went wrong with it ... And it will ... it would be archeological dig to figure out what was in the creators mind. It's a Frankenstein vehicle and my free advice is avoid it like the plague.

You could buy it and keep us all entertained for 6 months while you tried to figure out what random bag of parts you bought ... And poured money into it like you were propping up the Syrian tourism sector ... But I doubt that's what you want.

Is it me or do some things seem to be mounted crooked (pass headlight, fuel/temp gauge?) Camera effect maybe? For 35k, doesn't look like they paid attention to the details.

You should buy that one. If it doesn't sell quickly it will likely come to me and get stripped down, everything galvanized, and rebuilt with a 4.6 and auto. Devin and I were supposed to meet today but I had other obligations.
