1965 Toyota FJ40 ICON - Soft-Top

hi all,

i have a pal that is selling his ICON and i told him i would mention it here to see if there is anyone that has interest and does not want to wait the 2 years for a build slot. this will be to much money for the majority of us here, but there are people here that have the dough and like these trucks so it is worth a shot.

good:
3k since built.
he has had it a year and spent a bundle tweaking it and updating it: brakes, radio... stuff like that.
its ready to be enjoyed today.

located in NJ

$185,000.

link to eBay:
1965 Toyota Land Cruiser Icon | eBay

i have more photos of it too.

thanks!

Is he not consigning it through Icon because of their 15% commission? Really want an Icon but that aspect is a turn off. ECR sold the D90 I bought from them for me with no commission and sold it in a day - that's how you do business!

Nonetheless well spec'd Icon - only thing I'd do is update to their new gauge cluster.

not sure why is not sending it back. i guess he is trying on his own for now. he is in NJ, ICON is in CA. I am not sure of their take on commission, but i believe you.

now is your chance to buy at a discount. =)

That is a fantastic truck, but I'd be scared S&/tless to drive it if I paid $185k...(but I suppose if I had 185k to drop on an FJ then I wouldn't be functioning under my current set of operating principles.)

I have a 77 FJ40 (not ICON) and a 97 D90. The FJ gets way more looks.

That's taller than the standard seat (at least taller than my original seat). Looks like the seat ECR has built in the past that's taller, and they add the headrests.

Your FJ is about 20 times cooler than the Icon if it matters…………..

If your D90 was yellow it would be more of a lemons to limes comparison. I had a friend with a pink CJ6. That got the most looks ever.
